Tennis and Football Courts
The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) opened in October 2005 and is divided into two separate courts with a 3.6-metre high retractable dividing net to create two completely separate playing areas. We are delighted to report that in December 2021 the surface was completely resurfaced to the highest quality, thanks to funding from the Football Foundation and Richmondshire District Council. Why not book a court for a game of football, tennis or other sport and see how good it is!
The 37m x 37m porous macadam surface is colour-coated green, with the courts marked up as follows:
- 2 x 5 a-side football (yellow markings)
- 1 x 8 a-side football (yellow markings)
- *2 x Tennis courts (white markings)
- 2 x Netball courts (red markings)
- Unmarked area(s) for recreational basketball
Football
*8 a-side football requires the use of both courts.Whenever two courts are in use at the same time, they can be separated by the dividing net.
For play after dark, floodlights operate on a token meter.
Cost of hire is a very reasonable £5 per hour for adults and £3 for children. For football teams hiring the courts the cost is £25 per hour. For the evening winter months light tokens are £2.50 each, which last for 30 mins.
Tennis
Tennis membership: Tennis courts available to all. Join as an individual for £40 or as a family or household for £60 and use the courts as often as you like for the rest of the season 2023.
Daily rates are £5 for an individual and £3 for a child.
Pay for your membership now. There is a transaction charge for this of 1.4% plus 20p per transaction which is the banking fee incurred. The total charge payable is shown in each section.

Reserve the MUGA

Reserve MUGA courts 1 or 2 or both (the full MUGA) if you wish…
If reserving both – please make sure you book courts 1 and 2 together as two separate bookings under your name. Please make a note in the Comment box letting us know you require the whole MUGA.
Bookings are taken for half hour slots. Please make sure you select the time required i.e. From: time – To: time (on the drop down box).
A reservation confirmation email will be sent to you. If the booking details are incorrect please contact us to amend your reservation.
PLEASE NOTE
From October to March the full MUGA is prebooked for football on the following days and times:
Tuesdays from 6.30-7.30pm
Wednesdays from 6-8pm
Thursdays from 6-8pm
Other bookings cannot be taken during the above times.
